TGIF (11): Sept. 9th, 2011

TGIF is a feature at GReads which recaps the posts for the week and has a different question each week for bloggers to answer.

This Friday's Question:

Books to Television:  Which books would you love to see made in to a TV series? or movie?

I don't want to sound mean, but this is a tough question because I think that books are much better than the TV series or movies they become.  Take for example, The Lying Game series on ABC.  I admit that I LOVED the first two books in the series, but I'm not as connected to the TV series.  Everything is different and I keep making comparisons between the two.  I'm sure there are some that are done well, but they are tough to find.

I am looking forward to The Hunger Games movie because it looks like it's going to be a good one, whether you read the books or not.  Anyway, let's see...here's the list of books that I would like to see made into a movie/TV series:

1. Divergent by Veronica Roth.  I'm not 100% positive, but I think there are already plans in the works for this series to become movies.  This book was amazing and I can already see the movie playing out in my head!

2. The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han.  This series was so adorable and cute!  It was a great summer read, and I think that they would make some  awesome chick flick movies. :)

3. Matched by Ally Condie.  This is another great book that I think would make an adventurous, on-your-toes movie.

4. Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer.  I loved this series.  Well, at least the first two.  I haven't started the last one yet.  I guess this would be a tough one to make into a movie or TV series because it isn't quite a series as much as a companion novel.  Anyway, it was still awesome.

What about you?  What books do you think would make good movies/TV series?  I can't wait to see your responses! :)
