I can't recall the last time I read a collection of short stories. I picked up this book from the library as part of a YA Summer Reading Challenge. Some of the stories made you laugh, some made you want to cry, and some made you think wth? I don't know how else to describe it. I could relate to a couple of the stories, but overall I can't say I've experienced what some of these women have gone through.
In one story, a college girl is pregnant and gives birth in a bathroom stall without anyone knowing. In another the girl gets her period during class and it takes her multiple class periods before she is finally able to get a tampon. In yet another a boy is sent to buy tampons for his girlfriend and finds out it isn't so bad after all.
As I said, certainly an interesting book and full of laughter. Although it evokes other emotions from you as well as the stories go on. If you're up for a pretty fun and easy read, I'd say go for it.
