Zombies vs. Unicorns by Holly Black, Justine Larbalestier

Goodreads Summary:
It's a question as old as time itself: which is better, the zombie or the unicorn? In this anthology, edited by Holly Black and Justine Larbalestier (unicorn and zombie, respectively), strong arguments are made for both sides in the form of short stories. Half of the stories portray the strengths—for good and evil—of unicorns and half show the good (and really, really bad-ass) side of zombies. Contributors include many bestselling teen authors, including Cassandra Clare, Libba Bray, Maureen Johnson, Meg Cabot, Scott Westerfeld, and Margo Lanagan. This anthology will have everyone asking: Team Zombie or Team Unicorn?

After reading all of the stories in this book I have to say that I'm on Team Unicorn.  I never thought about taking a side before, but this book has easily made my choice for me.  I picked this book up for the YA Summer reading challenge I am participating in.  I admit that the first couple of stories didn't hold my interest very well, but starting with The Care and Feeding of Your Baby Killer Unicorn, I was hooked.  The stories became much more interesting.  The commentary before each story just made me laugh.  I would say that if you want to read more stories about zombies and unicorns so you can pick a team, go for it.  Although I picked Team Unicorn, I have to admit that the zombie stories were pretty good too.  I'm just not into the whole brain-eating thing.
