TGIF is a weekly feature hosted by Ginger at Greads!
This week's questions is:
Reading Blues: We all get them from time to time. What helps you
overcome those reading slumps when nothing seems to grab your attention?
Ugh...I feel like I'm in a reading slump right now, and nothing is helping me out! For me, the easiest way to get out is to just stop trying so hard. Any time something doesn't spark my interest, I try too hard. I keep trying to read book after book without any success. I know that if I just stop, I will eventually get back into it. It's so hard to stop though! I feel like I'm a failure if I just quit. Especially when I'm behind in my Goodreads goal for the year.
I also found that reading a genre I haven't read in a while sometimes helps. Overall, the only thing I can do is wait it out and focus on other activities/hobbies.
Do you guys have any suggestions for reading slumps? I'm always looking for new ideas to get out of one! Let me know in the comments! :)
