My 2012 Reading Challenges

You've probably seen so many of these posts flying around, because I know that I have, but I decided to wait.  Basically until the absolute LAST minute. There is a reason for my procrastination.  You see, there were so many 2012 challenges that I've heard about that I couldn't decide which ones to participate in! I mean, doing them all certainly wasn't possible, and I don't like to fail.  So I wasn't going to set myself up for major failure here.  Anyway, this is why you are seeing my 2012 Reading Challenges post on January 2nd of 2012.  I can't change my mind now, these are the ones I've finally settled on.

Here is my Official 2012 Reading Challenges List:

First of all, I want to start out by saying that once again on Goodreads, my challenge is to read 200 books this year.  I barely made it in 2011, so I'm hoping for a little more breathing room this year! I basically took mid-November to mid-December off of reading in 2011 (which was a horrible idea), so I had to catch-up during the last two weeks!

5. Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
6. Cracked by K.M. Walton
7. The Selection by Kiera Cass
8. What She Left Behind by Tracy Bilen
9. Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult
10. A World Away by Nancy Grossman
11. Between You & Me by Marisa Calin
12. If I Lie by Corrine Jackson

I could go on and on with this list because there are so many good ones coming out.  To check out the list go here and click on the link.

2012 Sophomore Reading Challenge (SRC) hosted by Chick Loves Lit

I'm pretty excited about this challenge.  I've discovered so many great authors this past year that I can't wait for the next novel in their series.  Also, I have admit that some of the debut novels are sitting on my shelves waiting to be read.  I'm hoping this challenge will encourage me to pick them up so I can get to the next one coming out in 2012!!

My List:
1. Insurgent by Veronica Roth
2. Timepiece by Myra McEntire
3. Fever by Lauren DeStefano
4. Thumped by Megan McCafferty
5. A Million Suns by Beth Revis
6. Dreamless by Josephine Angelini
7. Hallowed by Cynthia Hand
8. Truth by Julia Karr
9. Seven Clues to Winning You by Kristin Walker
10.  Embers and Echoes by Karsten Knight

The Standalone Reading Challenge 2012 hosted by IceyBooks

I haven't come up with a list yet for this one, but I'm sure it won't take long!

2012 Ebook Challenge hosted by Workaday Reads

This was a tough decision to make, but I've decided on...Level 3: DVD, 25 e-books.  This will probably be a little difficult for me since I'm so much more likely to pick up paper than my Kindle, but I'd like to read my Kindle more so I'm hoping this will be me motivation!

2012 TBR Pile Reading Challenge hosted by:

I have so many books sitting on my bookshelf that I want to read, but never make any time for.  So, hopefully by signing up for this challenge I can get them done!  I'm aiming for the 21-30 A Sweet Kiss level. As for the list, I'll add it a little later when I have more time!
