Goodreads Summary:
Janie thought she knew what her future held. And she thought she’d made her peace with it. But she can’t handle dragging Cabel down with her.
She knows he will stay with her, despite what she sees in his dreams. He’s amazing. And she’s a train wreck. Janie sees only one way to give him the life he deserves: She has to disappear. And it’s going to kill them both.
Then a stranger enters her life — and everything unravels. The future Janie once faced now has an ominous twist, and her choices are more dire than she’d ever thought possible. She alone must decide between the lesser of two evils. And time is running out. . . .

After reading book 2 in this trilogy, Fade, I couldn't wait to read book 3.  I wanted to find out what happens to Janie and Cabel and how they find a way to deal with her dream-catching.  So much happens in this book that I don't want to give anything away!

I want to start by saying the writing is fantastic, as always, and McMann keeps you entertained throughout the novel.  She keeps you hanging by a thread so you want to find out what happens next.  I admit that there are mixed reviews of this novel, so you will probably need to pick it up for yourself to decide if you like it or not.  In my opinion, I would say it is at least worth a borrow from the library or a friend.

Even though I enjoyed this novel, it wasn't my favorite in the series.  I would say after laying the groundwork in book one, book two would have to be my favorite.  The ending in this novel wasn't what I expected and I didn't feel like it was really an ending.  I feel like there was so much more we could have learned or so many more experiences we could have had with Lisa and Cabel.

I want to end by saying I think you should give this series a chance.  I really enjoyed it (even if I didn't like the end) and I hope that you will too.  Janie has a difficult decision to make in this novel and I think you will be surprised by her choices.  The stranger who enters her life is a turn that I didn't quite expect the trilogy to take.   Anyway, pick it up from a friend or borrow it from the library and see what you think!
