Goodreads Summary:

In idyllic Rosewood, Pennsylvania, where Burberry earmuffs keep diamond-studded ears warm, four very pretty girls have done some very wicked things. . . .

High school juniors Hanna, Spencer, Emily, and Aria have paid dearly for their sins. A stalker named "A" terrorized them for months and revealed their darkest secrets. But now that A's true identity has been revealed, the girls can finally go back to their pretty little lives.

Only, once a pretty little liar, always a pretty little liar—and these girls just can't help but be bad. Hanna will do anything to be Rosewood's queen bee. Spencer starts stealing . . . from her parents. Emily can't stop thinking about her new boyfriend. And Aria approves a little too strongly of her mom's taste in men.
As the secrets get darker and the scandals juicier, the consequences turn deadly. After all, girls who forget the past are condemned to repeat it. And in Rosewood, someone is always watching. . . .

The Pretty Little Liars are back again.  In book #4 we learned who "A" really was and Ali's killer was put in jail awaiting trial.  Spencer is having a rough time when her grandmother's will is read.  She finds out things she shouldn't have necessarily found out.  Hanna is partnering with some unsuspecting "friends" in search of her queen bee status as school.  Emily is interesting in boys.  That's right, she's giving up on women, at least for now, and found a new love interest.  Aria meets her mom's new boyfriend and what do you know?  She's met him before.  These girls are full of new and juicy secrets.

Of course, where there are secrets to be told there is someone who wants to tell them.  These girls are now getting messages from a new "A".  Ali's killer is out on bail and these girls are worried, but of course, what is a PLL book without someone turning up dead?  Who you ask?  You'll have to read the book to find out!

Okay...I started reading this series veeery late, as you can tell.  So I knew something big had to happen to keep going after book 4.  I mean really, this series probably could have ended in a big bow after book 4, but that is definitely not the way Sara Shepard works.  She always has tricks up her sleeve and ideas to keep this going.  I could not believe that there was a new "A".  I never would have guessed that the person who died would be that person.  What the heck?  There are definitely multiple people out there who want something bad to happen to these girls.  I can't wait to finally read book 6 so I can see what will happen next.  These girls are an interesting group who keep finding themselves deep into new secrets that "A" seems to know about.  Who is following them?  Who is it that knows so much about them?  Who wanted Ali dead?  Aaaah!  The suspense is getting to me.  I wish I just knew what happened.  I have my own thoughts, but I don't want to say what they are because I'd rather read and find out first.

Seriously though...if you still haven't picked up this series to read...do it!  It rocks.  Plain and simple.

I've been wanting to read the series for ages. Well, since I watched the first episode on the tv.
I stopped watching it, however, because I wanted to read the books first. Glad you enjoyed.

Holly- This series is awesome. I haven't watched any of the shows yet because I want to get through all of the books, but I've heard they are completely different from each other.

You should definitely pick up the books though. I've been getting them from my library so far. They are fun, fast reads that just make me keep on wondering what's going to happen with these girls.
