Unbelievable (Pretty Little Liars #4) by Sara Shepard

Goodreads Summary:

Four pretty little liars' charmed lives have turned into living nightmares.

Emily's been shipped off to Iowa to live with her überconservative cousins. Aria's boyfriend is behind bars—because of her. Spencer's afraid she was involved in Ali's murder. But Hanna's fate is far worse: She's clinging to life in the hospital because she knew too much.

If these girls don't start listening to me, Hanna's going to look like the lucky one.

Aria, Emily, Spencer and Hanna are still receiving text messages from A, but they don't know who she/he is.  Each pretty little liar has their own assumptions, but nothing is clear to them.  Hanna is in the hospital after being run down by a car for knowing too much.  Aria's teacher-boyfriend was sent to jail because of her, but thankfully no charges were pressed.  Spencer is pushed by her parents to continue her lie regarding the Golden Orchid award.  They think it would be great for her to win, even if she did use her sister's report to do it.

Emily was sent to Iowa because she is a lesbian.  Her parents don't support it and think she can be changed.  Emily has some fun her first night there, but her aunt discovers she went out with her four cousins and has a problem with it.  Of course, the cousins blame Emily and she is left on her own.  She doesn't have a plan, but she ultimately ends up back in Rosewood with her ex-best friends, and of course...A.

This has to be the best PLL book yet!  I was on edge the entire time trying to figure out who Ali's killer was.  I was definitely surprised! Since I already know that there are a ton of PLL books, I didn't expect to find out already who killed Ali.  I have a feeling there is going to be a strange twist in book five, but so far I can never seem to predict what is going to happen.  I love that about these books.  Typically I get bored when I know how a book is going to end just by the clues in the writing, but for some reason I can't ever guess in this book.  I never would have thought this person was the killer and I never would have thought someone else was A.  It's a sad time for these four ex-best friends, but throughout this book they learn more about each other and find that they need to stick together to learn the truth.  I can't say this enough....read this series!!
