Goodreads Summary:
An irresistible set-up for a new series: An unidentified airplane appears out of nowhere. When the aircraft is boarded, its only occupants are babies; once they are removed, the pilotless plane vanishes. Jonah and Chip, now teenagers, discover that they were among the "airborne orphans," who seem to be somehow linked with missing children from history. Rather than forgetting the past, the two boys decide to venture into it, risking their survival to right the wrongs of time. Crisp time-travel adventure.

I can't think of a single book that has had the same type of story line as this one. At least not one that I have ever read. Jonah and Chip discover early on that they are both adopted, around the same age, and have received mysterious letters. Chip becomes obsessed with the situation and wants to know more about where he came from and what happened. He is in search of answers. Chip and Jonah learn the background of their stories and discover that they, along with a bunch of other children, were taken from history.
The future has found out how to time travel. Mistakes were made. Now, those mistakes need to be corrected. Chip, Jonah and the other orphaned children are part of that mistake. The children are desperate for answers and they want to believe at least one adult from the future is trying to help them. Is that adult really helping or serving his own self-interest? This book kept me on edge the entire time. Even the thought of something like this ever happening is outrageous, but so intriguing. I didn't know what to hope for in terms of these children and their future, but I can't wait to pick up book #2! This series is definitely addicting and one you won't be able to put down. The writing is amazing and the story-telling is unique.
