Betsy is planning her wedding.  Well, that's what you would like to believe.  However, she has changed her mind on a date consistently and Eric Sinclair and her have a fight so large she thinks the wedding is off.  While dealing with this sticky situation, Betsy is visited by the ghost of a woman recently murdered by a serial killer.  Betsy, Laura, and this ghost decide to take a look for the serial killer so they can give the cops a little concrete information to go off of.  Thanks to the help of the ghost, they located the woman being held by the serial killer.  Unfortunately, before they can get her out of the basement the killer makes his way in.  Laura (devil spawn)  takes care of the situation by killing the serial killer, but her ruthlessness is terrifying to both Betsy and Eric.  In the end, Betsy and Eric get back together in their paranormal romance and Betsy keeps planning the wedding.  The disagreements continue, but the love these two have for each other will likely prevail.  I can't wait to pick up the next couple of books in this series.  Laura is a character that is continuously changing and I would like to see how she turns out.  It will be an interesting next couple of books...I'm pretty sure of that much!

What can I say, I'm into reading the fluff this week!  Davidson keeps you on your toes with another paranormal romanticized humorous novel.  It's full of action and mystery as well as romance.  Betsy Taylor, Vampire Queen, is capable of getting herself into some seriously strange situations.  Throughout these books she seems as though she is growing up a little at a time, but is still focused on herself more than the needs of others.  She's often a snotty self-involved individual, but then there are times where she sees her wrong.  Betsy meets her long-lost half sister Laura, and is surprised at the demeanor of this "spawn of satan."  I thought Betsy was setting herself up for another chance at death, but that certainly isn't the way this book played out.  Laura is a calm, entertaining, friendly, and overall nice individual...even if she is the spawn of Satan!  She has some odd powers that are surprising to Betsy, but her demeanor is what's the most terrifying.  Another great read in the Betsy Taylor series.  This one definitely kept me on my toes and made me want to keep going in the series.  I liked this particular one more than book #2, but I would have to say book #1 was still the best.  I recommend picking this book up if you're looking for something fun and easy to read.

Another fast and easy page-turner from Davidson!  Betsy Taylor is a naive individual who gets herself into some crazy situations.  She doesn't seem to think that harm can come to her and even with the situation with the vampire hunters she doesn't have any fear.  She continues on throughout the protests of her friends and family.  Who has ever heard of a vampire working a regular job anyway? This second Betsy Taylor novel is funny, light-hearted, and full of romance.  I wanted to say so many things to Betsy, particularly because she doesn't let her true feelings show.  At least, that is how I felt throughout the book.  Although I would have to admit I enjoyed the first book in the series better, this will not discourage me from starting the third one today.

Charlaine Harris...you have competition!  Davidson's first novel in the Betsy Taylor series reminds me a lot of the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris, which I loved!  Betsy Taylor is a spunky individual with a lot of character.  She is in love with shoes as well as herself.  She's easily distracted yet willing to help out others.  The ending was pretty easy to predict, but it was still a fun and quick read.  It took me about a day to finish the book and I'm already starting number two in the series!  I recommend if you enjoyed the Sookie Stackhouse series or are interested in vampires and a little romance mixed in with action adventures.
